Top to Bottom Rule
Always dust from the highest point in the room down to the floor. Start with ceiling fans and light fixtures, then move to shelves, furniture, and finally baseboards. This way, any falling dust is caught as you work your way down.
The Right Tools
Feather dusters just spread dust around. Use microfiber cloths, which trap dust particles. Dampen the cloth slightly with water or a dusting spray to hold onto the dust even better.
Don't Forget Hidden Areas
Dust accumulates in places we often overlook: behind the TV, on top of door frames, and on baseboards. Make these part of your regular routine.
Change Your Air Filter
A dirty HVAC filter can't trap dust effectively. Change it every 1-3 months to reduce the amount of dust circulating in your home.
